Harvest & Compile Data - UK BASED BIDDERS ONLY

We are looking for a person (or team) to gather data on UK university courses and compile it into a spreadsheet. Our calculations show there to be approximately 22,000 records to be obtained across 140 universities.

The data must be obtained and then converted to a format that works with our database. This entails changing "yes" to "1" or "no" to "0". A more complex algorithm will be involved when converting entrance grades such as "ABB-AAA" to UCAS points "320-360" which must be supplied by you.

Attached is an example Excel sheet of the data we require.

Notes:

- Due to the complex nature of the information being gathered we are only willing to work with UK based teams. This is not flexible.

- Data-scraping techniques will work in many cases but it is imperative that the data is handled and checked by human eyes, as educated judgement calls will need to be made.

- While this initial gathering is a one-time activity the ongoing management of the data will be put to tender; naturally we will give preference to whomever has compiled the initial dataset, thus there is potential for an ongoing relationship.
