I am using a Garmin Edge 800 navigator while riding a bike throughout Europe (regional more than cities).
What I want to do is download all the available Europe and International (if possible) maps onto my Mac so that I can plot routes on my Mac rather than just on the Garmin device that I have.
Then I can upload these from the Mac onto the handheld device.
I need some help finding the best software to allow me to do this, and to help me use it.
Previously have used MapSource - but not compatible with a Mac (using using a virtual Windows PC) plus this is quite old software now.
Have briefly looked at BaseCamp but not sure if this can do what I need it too.
