Description
I have the fabric and need to have a simple oblong-shaped canopy stitched. The fabric is lightweight ripstop fabric (the kind of thing tents are made of) and it is to go in the photo shown (i.e. a horizontal metal framework). The dimensions are 1850mm x 3150mm, and I have a single strip of fabric 7m x1.5m. All hems need to be for slotting tent poles into when I install the thing, and we need to slots for poles running down the width too. I am not supplying the thread. All stitching needs to be super strong, as this location gets a lot of wind!
See sketch that sets out the above, and also a photo of where it is going to be installed, the fabric showing here is the same as you'll work with.
The fabric is under my desk at work, in SE1 0LL (near Southwark and London Bridge) , you can come and pick up when you would like. I need to have the completed work by wednesday 12th.
If this goes well, I have two other similar things to sew too.
Thanks!!!
Matthew T.

Hello Matther,
I was wondering if you received my question as to whether sending fabrics to Italy would be a step to far.
Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Matthew,
I would love to complete this job for you, however I live in Italy. Not a problem for my other clients as postage is comparable, at times more reasonable.
I am designer by nature and have worked with Rip stop nylon on many occasions, so it is lightweight for post.
Could you please let me know if I need to forward a proposal for this job.

Hi thanks for the invitation for yout job. Do you have an old sample of what you wanting made for me to view? also i live in luton. Dont mind travelling but i am not a driver.would take the train .
Matthew T.03 Oct 2016Thanks for the question. I dont have a sample, as this has not been made up before. But here is the kind of material https://www.amazon.co.uk/Orange-Nylon-Ripstop-Fabric-Metre/dp/B00I9C9M2I/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1475509070&sr=8-8&keywords=ripstop+nylon
The sleeves are to take this kind of tent pole (about 12mm),
http://www.ebay.com/bhp/replacement-tent-poles
so need to be big enough to allow them to be moved in and out, but not too loose (so I would say a sleeve of around 30mm. The fabric is currently folded in a package (it is tent material!) about 35cmx20cm, by around 7cm thick.
My office is 5 mins walk from Blackfriars station, which is direct to Luton. Maybe you know someone who commutes who could pick it up for you? Thanks!
