we are an exciting new upcoming web app from a startup called Bojo Media, based in Liverpool, UK.
Club Hunter will ideally be launching in November 2013, and is an online guide to nightlife in Liverpool.
The current landing page can be found at http://www.club-hunter.net
ABOUT:
The guide will include bars and nightclubs, with regular information like events and special offers, down to commonly overlooked details like opening times, door charges, nearby cash machines, average taxi costs and nearby off licenses.
It is accessible both on the computer and any smartphone, so people can view information from the comfort of their own home (e.g., if someone's planning a friends birthday party the night before), or whilst out clubbing in the city.
Eventually, it will expand to other cities across the UK, with the aim of launching in at least Manchester in July 2014, and other cities after that.
We also have a directory called the DJ Directory (working title), which allows DJs to create their own page and advertise their services to venue managers who are looking for new talent. At the moment, this directory is only accessible to venue managers with an account on Club Hunter, which allows them to manage their own venue pages and add events.
The landing page for the DJ Directory can be found at http://club-hunter.net/the-dj-directory

PROJECT:
Right, enough spiel! At the moment, the Bojo Media team consists of two people, myself (Tristan) and a guy called Chris in South Africa. Chris manages the majority of the development, whereas I do some development and direct the overall operation (i.e., it's my vision!), and I also have some online marketing experience. However, I'm so caught up with the development of the platform in time for the November launch, that we have a fairly limited social media presence. We have a Twitter profile (@ClubHunterUK) and a Facebook page (which we admittedly bought Likes for), and although I occasionally post on those two channels, it's not as much as I'd like.
I want to focus on the Twitter profile for the moment, as that's our way of raising awareness amongst bars and clubs (who are able to sign up for an account and manage their own venue profiles and add events). Twitter also happens to be the most popular social network for the nightlife scene here in Liverpool, with a limited amount on Facebook, so I want to focus on that first.
The aims of this project are:
- Raise awareness by engaging with venues, with the end-goal of getting them to sign up for an account, (free or paid account, doesn't matter)
- Raise awareness of the DJ Directory by engaging with local DJs, with the end-goal of increasing signups. (Get them to sign up for a DJ page, which is free)
- Increase follower count to at least 800 by November 2013 (the launch)
Provisions:
I will be providing some content, and general topic ideas, but it's up to you to come up with relevant and interesting content. Engaging with clubs and bars in Liverpool is key, so bouncing off their content is always an option. I've got an Instagram account and running as well, and have started creating nightlife-related content on there that can be re-used on Twitter. I'll be taking pictures whenever I'm out and about in clubbing areas of Liverpool, and any bars that I visit during the day (which is quite a lot, as we take quite a few meetings with clients in cafes/bars nowadays)
Requirements:
Ideally, I'd like someone who is in the North-West, but they must at least be in the UK and be a native English speaker. Some experience/knowledge of how the nightlife ecosystem works, general etiquette and so on.
For the moment, this will be 5 hours a week, paid monthly. Some real-time engagement would be nice, but I understand that it'll be necessary to schedule some posts, so you'll need to take that into account. I have a Hootsuite account, so if you prefer to use that, we'll sign up for the Pro account and add you (your account) as a team member for the @ClubHunterUK profile.
If all goes to plan and I start seeing some results before the launch in November, there will be an opportunity for you to have a long-term freelance contract with us, and we'll increase your hours.
I think I may have exhausted every point that I feel needs to be covered. If I have in fact missed something blindingly important, feel free to ask on the clarification board and I'll answer as best as I can!
Thanks,
Tristan Bacon
