Description
Experience Level: Expert
I'm looking for 2 or 3 logos for my new company. I would like the finished logos and have versions editable in Adobe - Illustrator or Photoshop.
The company will be publishing small tourist guides for towns and cities around the UK - with backpackers/younger people the target market.
My wish is to represent the guidebook concept and the name. I really like the Londonist logo (http://londonist.com/). Clean, modern and simple - for use on website, business cards etc. I want the Edinburgh skyline as the image. See two attachments.
My ideas are:
The name in the centre i.e. " Dobber Guides" with the Edinburgh skyline above AND below. The top image is the real skyline and the lower image is the guidebook (identical) but framed image. The text will probably look best on two line, with the second line slightly indented. I am terribly indecisive about Fonts, but would suggest 'Final Frontier'.
Both skyline images are identical, but I want a shadow effect e.g. similar to attachment in zoom_london_skyline.jpg.
The text should be monotone I think, and either the skylines dark at their furthest point from the text, getting lighter gradually towards the text or opposite. Other option is for the top (real) skyline to be hazy with the lower (map) skyline being clearer.
