Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated duration: not set
Description: I have a b2b e-commerce site based on Prestashop which is not fulfilling its potential, where search engine rankings are concerned. I require a SEO professional to identify the main issues and get to work on implementing the changes required.
I do not want SEO work which relies upon silly tricks which in future will likely become outlawed by the likes of Google or Bing. When using targeted keywords in pages, the keywords should sit naturally and not look too 'forced' or unnatural; keywords need to be extremely relevant for the product or page that you are using them for. I don't want wrong products being promoted for wrong search terms due to careless use of keywords. At the moment I have certain irrelevant pages being promoted higher than much more relevant pages...this can't be right!
A problem I have identified is that search engines are indexing 'https://' pages as well as 'http://' ones. I only really want the 'http://' pages to be indexed. Also, many of the dynamic, search based pages are also being indexed which I assume will negatively affect the more relevant pages that we want promoting (e.g. http://www.mysite.com/page.php?p=3&orderby=name&orderway=desc)?
We also need to make sure that whatever SEO juice that has already been gained is not lost. So I assume that I would need some 301 URL redirections in place?
I will provide the keywords and details of our competitors. I will always, however, take on board your valuable suggestions and inputs.
Initially, it might be best to provide a plan of action (shouldn't take too long with it) and then update me regularly describing progress as the days progress.
