OregonNaturalMedine.com is a 15-year-old business with a strong history. We are a local business and do not use or want to use Google Ads. We have experience in site structure, SEO, and ranking but seek an expert to refine our strategy. We believe local business focus is key, as Google heavily promotes local businesses. Until now, we've handled SEO ourselves, but it's time to take a more serious, long-term approach.
THE BIG ULTIMATE AIM
The site has a single CTA: "book a discovery call with Dr. Reynolds."
We want 4 quality bookings a week.
GENERAL INFO
We currently receive one quality booking every two weeks. Our goal is two per week within two months and four per week within four months through organic search.
We operate Oregon Natural Medicine (OregonNaturalMedicine.com) and own Washington Natural Medicine (WashingtonNaturalMedicine.com). Oregon is established, while Washington is a new opportunity with a larger population (7.8M WA vs. 4.2M OR). We need an SEO strategy for both markets, prioritizing the best growth path.
Previously, the site ranked well, bringing two leads per week and hundreds of visitors daily. However, organic traffic and leads have declined over the past 3-6 months.
We use Google Analytics and Search Console and want to implement heat mapping to improve CTA click-through rates.
We are not a doctor agency—Dr. John Reynolds is our sole doctor, and his high patient retention is due to his expertise and rapport. His reputation should be leveraged to enhance trust and credibility.
KEY OBJECTIVES
1. Increase Organic Traffic: Improve visibility for relevant naturopathic and holistic health keywords.
2. Improve Conversion Rate: Increase bookings to two per week in two months, four per week in four months.
3. Develop a Dual SEO Strategy: Optimize the Oregon site and grow Washington's presence.
4. Enhance Local Search Visibility: Target Portland and Seattle (+ surrounding areas).
5. On-Page & Technical SEO Fixes: Improve H1 tags, image alt text, structured data, page speed, and UX.
6. Content & Link Building: Develop high-value content and earn authoritative backlinks.
SCOPE OF WORK
1. Local SEO Strategy
- Optimize Google My Business (GMB) for Oregon and Washington.
- Build citations and directory listings.
- Create localized content for smaller service areas.
- Leverage Dr. Reynolds' personal brand for trust-building.
2. Technical & On-Page SEO
- Optimize headings, metadata, and image alt tags.
- Improve internal linking and site speed.
- Implement structured data (LocalBusiness, FAQ, and Medical schema).
3. Content Development
- Create blogs and landing pages for naturopathic care in OR and WA.
- Publish authoritative articles on niche treatments.
- Optimize existing pages for better engagement.
- Highlight Dr. Reynolds' expertise and reputation.
4. Link Building & Authority Growth
- Acquire quality local backlinks.
- Implement a guest posting strategy.
- Monitor and disavow toxic backlinks.
5. Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Use Google Analytics & Search Console to track results.
- Implement heat mapping to monitor CTA engagement.
- Provide regular reports on rankings, traffic, and conversions.
EXPECTATIONS OF YOU
1. Can work from anywhere in the world
2. Written and spoken English must be fluent
3. I expect to be able to speak to you on EST time zone.
4. Updates. I do not like it when people I work with go quiet on me. I would like a weekly progress and actions taken update (unless pre-agreed).
5. The quick wins are important so we need to hit the ground running to improve things to quick yield 1 quality booking a week.
We understand fully that SEO takes time, this is not our first rodeo, but we do think it is reasonable to expect to see measurable improvements in traffic and conversions quickly and then build on that over the next 3-6 months.
The job will last for 6 months. If it goes well then we'd like to partner long-term, but at the very least its a six-month contract.
HOW TO APPLY?
We have been on PPH for more than 10 years and worked with many many people.
I do not expect to see chat GPT responses. They are easy to spot because they all look the same.
If you have used GPT to compile some info that's cool but you MUST tell me, otherwise I will decline it if I feel it is GPT made.
You must begin your proposal with your favourite food and your location. This shows me you have read my proposal properly and can follow instructions. If you do not begin with these two pieces of info then I will decline your proposal.
