Description
The account is already active and generating enquiries. We currently run separate campaigns for domestic work and commercial fabrication. Conversion tracking is in place and we are seeing leads coming through.
The goal now is to improve the quality of enquiries, with a stronger focus on commercial and manufacturing customers rather than small domestic jobs.
Scope of work:
• Review the current Google Ads account structure
• Analyse keywords and search terms
• Improve negative keyword lists
• Optimise campaigns for commercial fabrication enquiries
• Provide recommendations to improve lead quality
• Suggest any improvements to targeting, bidding or structure
This project is initially for a one off audit and optimisation. Ongoing monthly management may be considered if the results and working relationship are good.
Experience with B2B lead generation, manufacturing or engineering clients would be preferred.
The business is based in the UK and provides fabrication services including steel fabrication, sheet metal work and welding for both commercial and domestic customers.

Hi Jon,
Thanks for explaining that. That actually helps a lot. The fact that you already track enquiries in HubSpot and know which leads turn into quotes makes it much easier to optimise the campaigns for better commercial enquiries.
From what you described, the campaigns will likely benefit from tightening the search terms around manufacturing and engineering intent, while filtering out homeowner and DIY related traffic. That usually makes a big difference in lead quality.
Quick question. Would you be open to a short chat so I can look at the account structure and the search terms with you? It would help me understand where the domestic enquiries are slipping in and how we can shift the focus more toward subcontract fabrication and batch production work.
If that works for you, you can message me through this offer link so we can discuss it properly" https://www.peopleperhour.com/hourlie/audit-your-google-ads-account-and-a-clear-improvement-strategy/1102818?ref=member -

Hey Jonathan, is access for this phase via limited Google Ads / GA4 invite, or should recommendations be based on exports and screenshots only?

Are there specific types of commercial fabrication jobs or industries you want to attract more of through the campaigns?
Do you currently track which enquiries turn into real paying jobs so we can identify the keywords bringing the highest value leads?
Are there certain domestic job searches you already know you want to completely filter out with negative keywords?
You can also checkout this offer" https://www.peopleperhour.com/hourlie/audit-your-google-ads-account-and-a-clear-improvement-strategy/1102818?ref=memberJonathan R.12 Mar 2026Hi,
The type of commercial work we would ideally attract includes subcontract fabrication, batch production work and enquiries from manufacturers or engineering companies who may need parts or assemblies fabricated.
Typical examples would be brackets, frames, sheet metal components or welded assemblies rather than one off repair work.
We do track enquiries in HubSpot and review which ones progress to quotes and jobs, so we are able to see which leads are actually valuable.
For the domestic side we are happy to filter out searches relating to DIY products or retail type searches such as kits, panels, parts etc. The main goal is to reduce small homeowner enquiries and increase enquiries from businesses.
Thanks
Jon
