Description
View our current website
We are an aggregates and recycling business based in Andover, Hampshire, expanding our website to allow customers to purchase landscaping and aggregate products online.
This is not a new website build. We want to develop our existing Wix website into a professional e-commerce site while retaining the existing branding and overall structure.
E-Commerce Requirements
Wix e-commerce/store setup
Online product catalogue
Shopping basket and secure checkout/payment
Product variations where required
Correct VAT configuration/display
Inventory/product availability management
Postcode-based delivery pricing
Collection option from our Andover yard
Mobile optimisation
Fast, intuitive customer journey
Analytics/conversion tracking
Appropriate accessibility
Simple back-end management for products, prices and orders
Products
The initial store will contain [X] existing products plus 3 new products.
We will supply product descriptions, images, prices, delivery charges and delivery-zone/postcode information.
Following training, we intend to upload approximately 10 further products ourselves, so the system needs to make adding and managing products straightforward.
Postcode-Based Delivery
This is an important part of the project.
We sell heavy bulk landscaping and aggregate products, so standard parcel shipping is not suitable. We currently intend to operate [X] delivery zones and will supply the relevant postcodes and delivery charges.
Customers should be able to enter their delivery postcode and receive the appropriate delivery charge.
Experience implementing postcode, distance or zonal delivery pricing within Wix would be beneficial.
SEO, Local SEO & AI Search
We want the site optimised for strong organic visibility through both conventional search engines and newer AI-powered search/answer platforms.
Scope should include:
Technical/on-page SEO
Local SEO targeting Andover, Hampshire and our delivery areas
Change the site name currently showing as “My Site” to “Rock Recycling”
Improve homepage SEO title and meta description
Review/tidy existing homepage copy and spelling
Optimise product/category pages
Keyword/search-intent optimisation
Internal linking, crawlability, sitemap and indexing
LocalBusiness and Product structured data/schema
Appropriate delivery-area/location pages
GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation)
AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation)
Structure content for visibility/discovery through AI search platforms including ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Claude
Analytics/search performance tracking
We are not simply looking for an SEO app/plugin to be installed. Applicants should understand modern SEO, Local SEO and GEO/AEO and explain the work they propose to carry out.
Deliverables
Fully operational Wix e-commerce store
Initial products and delivery zones configured
Secure checkout/payment and VAT setup
Collection option
Mobile/desktop optimisation
SEO and Local SEO improvements

GEO/AEO optimisation
Analytics/tracking configuration
Full pre-launch testing
Basic training/documentation
Post-launch support for initial bugs/minor adjustments

Your proposed approach
A fixed-price quotation, clearly stating what is and isn't included
We are looking for a professional and reliable developer, rather than simply the lowest-cost proposal.

£500–£1,500
The budget is indicative and we are open to proposals depending on experience and the solution proposed. We would prefer a fixed total project price rather than an open-ended hourly arrangement.

Hi Derry,
When are you hoping to get started, and do you have a target launch date in mind? Would you be open to a quick discussion so we can go through the project in a little more detail and agree on the best way forward? -

Hi Derry,
If a customer orders several different aggregates in one basket, should delivery be calculated on the combined weight and vehicle capacity, or does each product have its own delivery charge? This will help us choose the right checkout setup and avoid incorrect delivery pricing.
To get started, we'd need Wix collaborator access, your product list with prices, images and VAT details, postcode zones and delivery rates, collection rules, and any existing SEO or analytics information.
Once we have these and the fixed scope, we can begin the work. -

Hi Derry,
Two quick questions:
1. Do delivery charges depend only on postcode, or also on order weight, quantity or product type?
2. Can you share the number of initial products and delivery zones, so the fixed scope can be confirmed?
I look forward to your reply.
Best Regards. -

A few questions to clarify the requirements:
1. Postcode-Based Delivery: Will each postcode zone have a fixed delivery charge regardless of the products or order quantity, or will charges vary depending on the order?
2. Delivery Zones: How many postcode delivery zones are you planning to configure?
3. Products: How many existing products need to be added to the online store, excluding the three new products?
4. Collection: Will customers be able to collect their orders from your Andover yard free of charge?
5. Existing Website: Could you please share your existing Wix website URL so I can review its current structure and functionality?
6. VAT Configuration: Will the same VAT rate apply to all products, or will different products require different VAT rates?
