Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are a Fashion eCommerce brand specializing in latex clothing, currently facing persistent issues with our Facebook and Instagram product catalog. While our products are fully compliant with Meta’s policies — consisting strictly of fashion apparel — our posts and stories that tag these products are routinely taken down for alleged community guideline violations, most often flagged as malicious or adult content.
We believe these flags are occurring due to a combination of the word “latex” in product metadata and images showing models in skin-revealing yet non-explicit outfits. Although our Instagram account currently shows no active restrictions in the Meta Account Center (everything is green-lit), the takedowns continue. Our account did have restrictions in the past, which may still be influencing automated enforcement even after a full clean-up of flagged keywords and visual content.
Our primary goal is to resolve these catalog and tagging issues to ensure smooth publishing and visibility of our products on Meta platforms. Once this is resolved, we aim to scale into paid advertising on Instagram and Facebook to grow our online sales. We attempted to install the Pixel on the site already, not sure it's working either.
What We Need Help With:
• Diagnosing and resolving policy violation issues related to catalog product tags and post removals.
• Auditing our Meta Commerce Manager, product feed (WooCommerce integration), and catalog data for sensitive triggers.
• Identifying any problematic keywords (e.g., “latex”) or visual content that may be causing repeated false flags.
• Managing appeals and, if needed, escalating cases to Meta Business Support to reinstate product visibility.
• Advising on how to adjust product metadata and imagery to meet Meta’s content safety thresholds.
• Preparing the product catalog and account structure for effective future Meta Ad Campaigns.
What We Expect From You:
1. Expertise Overview
• Share relevant experience working with Meta Ads, product catalogs, and account diagnostics — especially in fashion or sensitive verticals (e.g., lingerie, swimwear, latex apparel).
• Highlight previous success in resolving unjustified content policy violations on Meta platforms.
2. Action Plan Proposal
• Provide a brief outline of how you would approach diagnosing the issue, identifying false flags, and adjusting product presentation.
• Mention any tools, techniques, or support channels (e.g., Meta Partner Support) you would use.
3. Timeline
• Estimate how long the investigation, resolution, and catalog compliance review would take.
4. Budget
• Share your fixed rate for the project.
Bonus if you have:
• Experience working with WooCommerce and Meta Commerce integrations.
• Familiarity with Meta’s AI moderation behavior and experience in successfully disputing unfair takedowns.
• Direct contact with Meta Business Support or past use of escalated review channels.
• A track record of scaling fashion or edgy visual brands using Meta advertising.
To Apply:
Please submit a proposal addressing the four key points above. Include any relevant case studies, past client examples, or links to your portfolio. We’re looking to start immediately and will prioritize applicants with experience handling similar Meta enforcement challenges.
***PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO CONTACT US OUTSIDE OF PPH***
We want to use the safety of this platform to run this project.
Thank you!

My Clarification Questions:
1. Have you previously submitted any appeals through Meta Support, and if so, what was the response?
2. Is your product feed synced via a plugin or manually uploaded to Meta Commerce Manager?
3. Are there specific product types consistently flagged more than others?
4. Has your Meta Pixel been verified and tested for event tracking recently?
5. Do you use any third-party catalog enhancement or image compression tools?
