Description
We are a fast-growing European e-commerce retailer specialising in retail packaging — carrier bags, paper bags, tissue paper, and packaging accessories — and we are looking for a native or near-native German-speaking digital marketing specialist to help us grow in the German market.
This is not a translation job. We need someone who thinks, writes, and markets in German natively — someone who understands how German customers search, evaluate, and buy online.
What you'll be working on:
Proofreading German email marketing campaigns
Localisation — getting tone, register, and terminology right
Performance recommendations based on German e-commerce benchmarks
What we need from you:
Native or near-native German, strong English
Proven e-commerce digital marketing experience
Understanding of German consumer behaviour and B2B/B2C copy conventions
DSGVO awareness
This starts as a project engagement with strong potential for an ongoing relationship.
To apply, please include: work examples in German (email, or product copy), your language background, tools you use, and your availability.

Hi, thanks for reviewing my proposal. I just wanted to clarify a few points so I can align perfectly with your expectations.
Are your current German email campaigns already live and underperforming, or would this involve building and localising campaigns from scratch?
Also, are you primarily targeting B2B clients, B2C customers, or both within the German market? This will strongly influence tone, structure, and messaging approach.
Finally, which tools are you currently using for email marketing and analytics, for example Klaviyo or similar platforms?
Once I have this context, I can provide more precise recommendations from the start.
Looking forward to your response. -
