Dictionary App for iOS

I would like to create an app for iPhone/iPad that is basically a kind of slang dictionary app. There will be around 400 word listings in the slang dictionary.

I will provide the content in whatever is the easyist way - most likely a database that it can be sucked in from - this database will need setting up and need to be factored into your bid. It can also be provided in other formats if that would work better.

The app will be free and I therefore wish to have iAd advertising in order to recover my development costs. The app would need to work on teh iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 screen sizes and also be iPad native.

Depending on the success of the iOS app there is scope for development of a similar app for the Android platform.

There is also scope to make similar apps with the same framework you create for other dictionary topics.

I will provide the artwork for the launch screen and app icons.

I would envisage there being soem sort of database within the app that holds the slangs words and their meanings.

In terms or the UI I would like there to be five icons along the bottom of the screen as follows.

A left arrow (this will go to the previously viewed term.

A-Z icon - this will display all the slang terms in A-Z listing format with a serach box at the top of the page.

A favourite icon - holds a list of slang entries that the user saves as favourites.

A information icon - this loads an information pages about the app with links to website etc

A right arrow - this will scroll top the next slang term entry in alphabetical order to allow for quck scrolling through the whole slang database.

At the top of the screen will be the app name as well as a heart or star icon that allows the user to save the particular slang term page as a favourite.

The page listing the slang terms will need to have a nice visual interface with the slang term at the top. The slang meaning below that and and origin field below that (although not all entries will contain an origin).

There are several free slang dictonaries on the Apple App store that will give you an idea of the kind of thing I have in mind.

Any questions or further clarification needed please ask. Ideally I would like a fixed price bid along with an idea of time scale.

Ultimately I would also like to be able to update the app myself periodically with new slang references. I may need to be shown how to add entries to the database. I have a Mac and XCode and my own developer account with Apple to allow me to do this.
