Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Attached sample layout/theme for the website. The work will be based around an open source CMS (ideally Joomla 2.5 but open to suggestion) and will be designed to allow all content and menu options/depth to be managed by the CMS backend. The attached design is not set in stone, I’m open to change. The person who will work on this project should have good creative flair, and eye for detail and a good knowledge of the CMS platform used in order to suggest and recommend features and functionality.
MAIN SITE
Apart from the blog, every article will be displayed as in the attached example images. The sections listed below explain how the navigation and articles are displayed.
A - Menu
As demonstrated here http://www.gavick.com/
Require the ability to have nested menu’s. All menu items can be clicked even if they have sub items. Must be configurable through CMS. When clicked the article will be displayed in (D) wIth the associated media content displayed in (B). Any sub pages will be listed in the sub menu (C)
B - Media area
Each article displayed in section (D) can have an associated set of images and video’s which are displayed in section (B) rotated on a timer with transition effects.
If an article has no images or video’s associated with it then the parent ones will be displayed.
C - Sub Menu
As demonstrated here (top most menu) http://www.iddeos.com/
Articles can have a number of sub pages, these will be listed here and when clicked will perform the same behaviour as when menu items (A) are clicked.
D - Article area
Where the main articles are displayed
E - Logo slider
As demonstrated here http://www.iddeos.com/
Logo’s can be clicked which loads in the article (D) and associated media (B)
F - Footer
The footer is static throughout the site and shows a number of links, company details and Social media, RSS etc.
BLOG
The blog will look like MAIN SITE but the media area (B) will be removed.
