Description
Experience Level: Expert
I am looking for a web designer to help build a social media website that targets women 30+ who are mums.
I want the website to be a one stop shop for everything that a mother could need in their life and create a national brand with local content.
At the moment I am considering using Ruby on Rails but open to ideas.
I want the website to be a cross between netmums and mumsnet. As a rough guide and I will have a more concrete idea in a week, but at the moment the website will consist of the following pages:
Home Page
About – The team behind the scenes
Forum – For people to chat about specific topics.
Your Local Area - click on ‘Your Local Area’ it then asks you to be a member then only shows you specific info to your region. Then cover local places, things to do, education, community etc
Blog – Latest information.
Food – ideas, recipes
Fashion – Ideas, tips, video, gallery
Shop – to purchase things for sale from clothes to toys
Gallery – Of images
What’s On – locally and nationally
Register – to be able to buy things, meet other mums, newsletter, special offers and competitions.
Social media links – Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter
Competitions & Offers – to win products and services
Newsletter – For users to join up to and then sent out on a monthly basis
Advertising – room for banners, buttons and skyscrapers etc
Contact – The team
Content management
Ability to access and update content and images ourselves.
Future
It’s important that the site has scalability so that in the future we can build in new features.
If you are interested in this job please can you email me the following:
1. When you can start.
2. How long this project will take to complete.
3. Examples of previous social media websites that you have designed.
4. Can we host this website on Heart Internet or suggest an alternative and monthly costs?
5. A total cost for the project.
6. Are you happy to white label the website with my branding?
7. Which software are you recommending to use?
8. For updates in the future, what are your charges?
Many thanks
Grant
