A Web Designer is required to join our company. We specialise in designing and implementing behaviour change programmes that get more people cycling.
We are currently in the process of completely rebuilding our web application (66,000 users) which hosts our Workplace Cycle Challenge programme . We require a web designer to create a fresh, innovative design and layout for our new application. This is a golden opportunity for the right person to get inspired and create an original design with a seamless user experience which will enable us to take the technological lead in the sustainable travel market for behaviour change programmes.
The Web Designer will have the support of a Senior Web Architect and a Product Development Director to deliver an effective and high quality design.
Roles and Responsibilities
The primary roles and responsibilities of this role are to:
• Work from general wireframes to produce detailed mock ups of key pages
• Lead the aesthetic direction of our Challenge sites
• Help to optimise user flows by emphasising key elements of pages
• Deliver assets as PSDs and HTML/CSS if appropriate
• Work closely with the Developer and product lead
Person Specification
You will be a talented web designer, with experience designing creative user
experiences on online applications that we can sign up to and see online. You will have a vivid imagination, collaborative mindset and the vision to create an original new design that exceeds our expectations. Joining our small team, you will have a unique opportunity to design our new web application from a clean slate, creating the design and seeing it through to its successful launch.
The successful candidate will need to listen closely to our brief and create pages that effectively reflect our vision. Strong verbal and visual communication skills will be key to enable us to work effectively together to refine ideas. You will need to be able to work well to deadlines and changing demands, having the flexibility to change and adapt designs to meet our needs.
The following skills and experience are required:
• At ease with designing web interfaces from wireframes
• Excellent at designing beautiful overall look and feel
• An understanding of UI/UX
• An understanding of what is possible with modern HTML/CSS
Location
UK – preferably London.

Initially 4 weeks, starting mid January.
