Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are an events company who wish to create a website for a themed Victorian/Dickensian event we are organising on behalf of a local authority client
Design
Design is paramount. It should be simple yet impactful and accurately reflect the theme of the event (which we can provide lots of input on). The site will contain 5-6 pages in total and will probably revolve around 2 or 3 basic template designs.
Technical
The main requirement is that it is fast. It should also work perfectly with all major browsers and screen sizes (you will be expected to test this). One of the pages will need to contain a form to capture contact details and feed this into our Campaign Monitor account. We will also need to have the facility for visitors to download a PDF. Other than that it is very straight forward. We also wish to have the ability to update the entire site via CMS
Content
All written content will be provided as will a reference site to help you understand the purpose and basic architecture.
Logo/design pointers
We already have a logo, but this could do with some further tweaking and you will need to include some time in your bid to allow for this. We can provide input and pointers for the design, but ultimately the creative process will be up to you.
We are looking for someone with exceptional design skills and sufficiently sound technical skills to build a visually impressive site which works effectively and is constructed with future SEO in mind (although SEO is not within this scope of works). If you have experience of Christmas Victorian/Dickensian themes and can provide examples of work this will be a distinct advantage.
