Description
Experience Level: Expert
Experienced joomla website builder required.
I am looking for a Joomla expert to help me build my website.
The website I have in mind will provide help, information, advice and a repair service to visitors. The subject matter is white goods, namely washing machines, dishwashers, cookers, fridges and tumble dryers. You may wish to visit my website www.washingmachinerepairbristol.co.uk
I would like to offer a similar service to customers but on a more national scale and with a much more advanced and dynamic site.
I have spent many years working for myself as a service engineer and have a very good idea of how customers make their enquiries about their faulty appliance. First of all they try to describe the fault, then they want to know how serious the fault is and is it worth fixing. This is where my many years of experience comes to the fore.
The website will answer these questions but first the appliance TYPE (eg. washing machine or dishwasher) and BRAND (as in manufacturer, such as Hotpoint or bosch) has to be selected somehow. This is because they all have their different quirk.
When the choice is made a page will appear showing a list of common faults for that appliance. The customer/user then selects what they perceive to be the fault before being transferred to a page that will discuss that fault in detail. This page will also have information based on: repair cost, best and worst case fault scenarios and is it worth fixing. This page is to show everything related to that appliance and a thumbnail image of the actual part causing the problem and maybe a catalogue
The website is to have three main categories. A Faults section as explained in the previous paragraph, a find a service engineer section, and a video clip section.
The find a service engineer section will start with the customer selecting their
Town/City from a well featured dropdown area on main page, which will take them to another area which list local areas. Chose your local area to get details of a local engineer. This page to feature photo of engineer and telephone number as well as the expected introduction and services covered.
The video section will be similar to the faults section but can only be accessed by users that subscribe to this section.
I have a clear idea of the look and feel I want this site to have but not sure on the best extensions, modules, components and plugins required to carry this off. I would like the site to show the three main features, as detailed above, at a glance with a different template theme for each section.
I consider myself to be at intermediate level with Joomla and I do subscribe to Lynda.com. I would like to be very much involved with the building of this site and am looking for someone with experience to work along with me as oppose to for me. I will pay a reasonable rate to the right person. This may be a good opportunity for those looking to establish themselves with a quality site as part of their portfolio. If anyone is interested and want to discuss further please do not hesitate to contact me.
Ps I have several website, one of which could be used to develop this site.
