Hi Anna
New job for you. You're currently working on List Logic which is a separate project and not to be confused with the following brief.
We will adopt the same process that Richard describes in his Map Template Brief but this template is for the subject of Lists. In all I have identified 32 separate web sites related to Lists of things (32 different types of list products).
In basic terms we need you to design a single 'Grand Parent' website template that can be used for each of the 32 separate 'Parent' web sites that we plan on building. Each of these 32 'Parent' sites will link out to dozens of 'Child' product sites. So we need you to eventually come up with hundreds of different designs (one for each of the 'Parent' and 'Child' sites).
The clever (difficult) bit is that we want a common theme to run through every site which "holds them together" - a consistent theme or something that appears on each of the sites despite the sites selling different products although all of the products are related to lists of things in this case.
So, the same brief as Richard's map project really but this one is for Lists (again, keep the list-logic project you are currently working on separate for now).
To help you understand the 32 'Parent' and hundreds of 'Child' product sites on the attached.
Once you have come up with the template for the site (about us, Index, Sitemap, etc etc - as per Richard's brief about the map web site structure) the first 'Parent' design we would like you to deliver is related to "Finding things". Specifically, finding People. The next will probably be finding and Address then maybe finding a Phone number.
So for clarity, this Job is to deliver:
1, A template site (about us, Index, Sitemap etc) basic web structure with a DWT
2, Design for the 'Grand Parent' web site which talks about "Lists" - every product we sell on the 'Parent' and 'Child' sites will also be featured / sold on the 'Grand Parent' site (duplicated if you like). Eventually this Grand Parent Site will feature every product on the Schematic!
3, Design for ONE 'Parent' web site which sells "Finding". This web site will eventually sell everything on the "Find" Schematic.
4, Design for ONE 'Child' web site which sells "Find Address". This web site will just sell the ability to find an address.
All of the sites must have a common theme.
As you see from the schematic there are 12 'Child' Sites to be built and therefore we will eventually need 12 designs / themes from you on just the "Find" schematic. In all there are hundreds of designs required for this list project and we have 30 projects so that’s a lot of work down the line!
All the best
Milton
