In terms of references, I gravitate more towards editorially-driven experiences, cultural institutions, premium architecture studios, intelligent publications, boutique consultancies, and beautifully restrained design systems rather than typical agency websites. Strong hierarchy, pacing, whitespace, typography, and image treatment matter a lot to me.

You will absolutely have creative freedom in refining layout, hierarchy, flow, and presentation. In fact, that is precisely what I am looking for. I do not need a technician who simply assembles blocks. I need somebody who can elevate what already exists through proper design thinking and visual judgement.

For interactions, I lean towards restrained and elegant rather than excessive animation. Subtle movement, intelligent transitions, and thoughtful behaviour are welcome as long as they support the atmosphere rather than distract from it.

Timeline-wise, because the majority of the groundwork is already done and there is no e-commerce complexity involved, in an ideal scenario I would expect first design directions fairly quickly and the overall project within roughly a week or slightly beyond, depending on workflow and refinement rounds.

You would mainly be collaborating directly with me. I am the central point of contact on the project. Occasionally I may ask for quick internal input from one or two additional founders, though feedback loops will remain very lean and fast-moving. This is very much a direct collaboration rather than a large committee process.

Also worth mentioning: there is a second website project waiting in the background, and that one will be more commercially and technically involved. It will include e-commerce functionality tied to a drinks cooler brand, with customers able to select designs, customise options, place orders online, and purchase directly through the site. There will also be a B2B layer targeting corporate clients, festivals, event organisers, and branded merchandise requirements.

That second project will likely be posted separately once the scope is fully finalised, though if the collaboration works well here, I would strongly prefer continuity with the same designer. There may even be a third project afterwards.

On Elementor, I would welcome your recommendation. I mentioned Elementor mainly because I already have WordPress and Elementor Pro available, and it seemed like a practical route. That said, I am less technical on this side, so I would be guided by what gives us the best balance between custom design, speed, responsiveness, and ease of editing later.

For the first phase, the platform is fairly straightforward. It is essentially a bilingual corporate/portfolio website with static pages. There is no journal, blog, ticketing, e-commerce, event registration, or sales functionality at this stage.
