WordPress & Google Discover optimisation for news website

I run a large local news website on WordPress using the Newspaper theme and need an experienced developer to further improve performance, mobile UX, SEO and Google Discover optimisation.

Recent work has already significantly improved speed, but I want someone to identify the remaining key issues and safely improve the site further.

Main tasks:

Identify and reduce causes of CLS/layout shift on mobile
Improve overall mobile Core Web Vitals
Improve Google Discover optimisation
Check and improve author schema including sameAs setup (linking authors properly via schema to real profiles/pages such as author pages, social profiles, LinkedIn, X/Twitter etc to strengthen entity/trust signals for Google)
Review structured data and article image setup
Review the overall site SEO setup including Yoast configuration and schema
Identify any technical SEO improvements that could help rankings, indexing, authority and visibility in Google
Identify any other important technical issues holding the site back
