Website Design Brief — Forefront Garden Rooms - (www.forefrontgardenrooms.co.uk)
About the business
Forefront Garden Rooms designs and builds bespoke, steel-frame modular garden rooms and annexes across the UK. We're a premium provider — our average order value is around £40,000 — and our current website undersells the quality of what we actually deliver.
The problem
Our existing site (built on Wix) looks and reads like a budget/commodity garden building company, not a premium, bespoke home-improvement brand. We need a rebuild that matches the price point and quality of our product.
Goal
A site that feels considered, calm, and high-end — closer in spirit to a boutique architecture or interior design studio than a typical "garden building" retailer — while still converting visitors into booked consultations.
Tone & visual direction
Calm, editorial, premium — think high-end architecture studio or interior design portfolio, not trade/retail
Large, high-quality photography and video as the hero of the site — we have real photos/video of finished projects to supply
Generous white space; avoid clutter, badges, pop-ups, or anything that reads as "salesy"
A considered typography pairing (a distinctive heading font + clean body font) — not default web-safe fonts
Muted, natural colour palette (timber, stone, green tones) rather than bright trade-site colours
Subtle, smooth motion/scroll interactions that signal craft without being gimmicky
Calls to action framed around a consultative process ("Book a Design Consultation" / "Start Your Design") rather than transactional language ("Get a Quote")
Structure / pages needed
Our current site has roughly the right structure — we're after a visual and tonal upgrade more than a rethink of the information architecture:
Home
Pricing & Design
Finance
Why Choose Us
Configurator / Design tool (or equivalent "start designing" step)
Portfolio (this should be a strong visual showcase — real projects, multiple photos each)
Our Process (currently a simple 3-step: consultation call → in-person consultation & design → install in 1-2 weeks)
Enquiry / Contact (feeds into our GoHighLevel CRM — happy to discuss integration/embed approach)
What we'll supply
Real photography and video of completed projects
Existing copy/structure as a starting reference (not final — copy can be tightened/rewritten as part of the rebuild if that's part of your offering)
Brand assets (logo, any existing brand guidelines)
What to include in your proposal
Links to 2-3 examples of your past work, ideally for premium/high-consideration-purchase brands (not general small-business sites)
Rough timeline and cost
Whether ongoing edits/updates after launch are something you offer, and how that's priced

Could the redesign make a £40k garden room feel like a considered architectural investment from the very first screen, rather than another garden-building product being sold online?
