Website designer to Build a Modern Online Gaming Portal

Project Overview

I am looking for an experienced WordPress designer/developer to build a modern, professional online gaming portal where visitors can play free browser games.

The aim is to create a gaming website with a clean, colourful, user-friendly design similar to the reference image I can provide. The website should be designed to attract visitors, encourage repeat visits and generate revenue through advertising and optional premium features in the future.

I want to start with a cost-effective first version that can be expanded as the business grows.

Design Requirements

The website should have a modern gaming aesthetic, with bright colours, attractive game thumbnails, rounded cards, clear navigation and a responsive layout that works on desktop, tablet and mobile.

The homepage should include:

* A logo and navigation menu.
* A large featured-game banner with a prominent Play button.
* Game categories such as Puzzle, Action, Racing, Arcade, Adventure and Brain Training.
* Popular Games and New Games sections displayed in attractive thumbnail grids.
* A sidebar or suitable advertising spaces for future monetisation.
* A Premium section that could support an ad-free membership in the future.
* A leaderboard or high-score section, if achievable within the agreed budget.
* A professional footer with About, Contact, Privacy Policy and Terms links.

Functionality Required

* WordPress installation and configuration.
* A mobile-friendly, responsive design.
* A game portal theme or suitable game management plugin.
* The ability for me to add, remove and organise games without needing a developer each time.
* Individual pages for games, with a playable game area and space for advertising.
* Support for compatible HTML5 browser games, with the ability to embed or integrate games from legitimate sources.
* Basic SEO setup, performance optimisation and security configuration.
* Clearly defined advertising placements, with the ability to integrate a suitable advertising provider once the site is eligible.
* A simple way to expand the website with more games and categories in the future.

User accounts, subscriptions, advanced leaderboards and custom game development are not essential for the first version unless they can be added affordably.

Important Requirements

I want to use a suitable existing WordPress theme and established plugins wherever possible rather than pay for a completely custom-coded website.

Please recommend the most cost-effective approach and identify any paid themes, plugins, licences or additional hosting costs before starting.

The website must be handed over to me with full administrator access. I want to own the website, domain, content and any custom work paid for under this project.
