We are a marketing studio and need a new website design (desktop and mobile) creating, we have in house designers, but they are all busy with client work so this keeps going on the back burner! We have a concept and content already need a clean, crisp, professional and easy to navigate website for showcase our services, our clients and our work. We have examples of what we like along with a homepage wireframe and internal page wireframes and full website map. We are looking for an experienced designer who can offer a quick turn around and show excellent examples of their past work.
Our coders will be able to use movement etc on the website so please incorporate this in the design. It will be built on WordPress if that is relevant to your design process. The design will be coded in house and needs to meet our developers specification, below:
Developer requirements:
I can work with Photoshop or Illustrator or Adobe XD files
12 columns grid, wrapper with can be 1200px or more, just keep in mind that we need to fit header nicely for old PC's with 1024 screen width
We work with Foundation 6 (worth mentioning) a 12 column grid at 1200px for desktop is preferred (https://get.foundation/sites/docs/grid.html)
on mobile blocks stacks together in same order as desktop (responsive, NOT adaptive design)
minimum font side 14px, default 16px (16px minim for mobile)
Consistency throughout if possible (e.g. don't have a different h1 header size on each page)
If images are linked to file all images I expect to find in one folder
If file is on Photoshop many separate layers as possible, individual blocks can be in separate folders
No flattened layers in Photoshop
If using icons they should be converted to shapes
No layer effects such as multiply (border, gradient and shadow is fine)
Fonts ideally from google fonts, maximum 2 different fonts (if want different for headings)
No 50 shades of gray on colours, I would like to have primary, secondary 3 shades of gray (light,medium,dark) and one black for texts if possible
If doing multiple pages in single file keep file size till 1GB or separate to multiple files
if design involves slanted shapes, hexagons and other fancy stuff, think what will happen on mobile
