Description
Build a two-sided platform that helps fitness venues find qualified cover instructors quickly, while helping instructors pick up relevant paid work without messy WhatsApp threads or manual calls. The main goal is simple: reduce admin, fill classes faster, help solo instructor achieve work life balance and keep compliance visible.
Target users
• Community class instructors who want targeted cover requests based on location, qualifications, availability, and pay range.
• Venue managers and studio owners who need urgent class cover, reliable substitutes, and audit-ready records.
• Head office or multi-site operators who need reporting, broadcasts, and timetable oversight across multiple locations.
Core problems
1. Solo instructors are stuck unable to have holiday or sick days without loosing income, finding cover is so difficult.
2. Venues currently lose time chasing instructors, posting in group chats, and checking qualifications manually.
3. Instructors miss opportunities because requests are scattered across platforms or sent to the wrong people. Compliance and expiry tracking create extra risk if a replacement is booked without valid documents.
MVP scope
Venue side
• Create cover request.
• Set criteria: class type, location, date/time, pay, preferred instructors, blocked instructors.
• See matched instructors and send requests.
• Confirm booking and view history.
• Upload and review compliance documents (insurance, dbs, first aid etc).
• Basic reports and timetable export/sync.
Instructor side
• Create profile with qualifications, locations, class types, availability, and pay preferences.
• Receive targeted cover requests.
• Accept or decline quickly.
• View class/venue details and messaging.
• Store compliance docs and get expiry reminders. (insurance, dbs, first aid etc).
• Post cover dates, time and venues easily and automatically have these request sent out to local instructors
• Access invoice details after completed cover.

- Could you explain how you want instructor matching to work in detail? Should requests be sent to all eligible instructors at once, in batches, or based on priority such as preferred instructors first?
- What should happen after an instructor accepts a cover request? Should the venue manager manually approve the instructor, or should the booking be confirmed automatically?
- Will payments be handled outside the platform, or would you like to integrate an online payment gateway in the future? For invoices, should the system automatically generate invoices after completed classes, and should venues be able to download payment history and financial reports? -

Please answer
1. Do you already have the UI/UX designs (Figma), or would the design phase also be part of the project?
2. Do you require both the web platform and mobile applications in the MVP, or would you prefer to launch the web platform first?
3. Will payments between venues and instructors be handled within the platform (e.g., Stripe), or are payments managed externally?
4. Should compliance documents be manually approved by venue managers, or is there an admin verification workflow?
5. Do you already have a preferred cloud provider (AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean), or would you like my recommendation?
6. Will calendar synchronization (Google/Outlook/Apple Calendar) be required in the MVP or a future phase?
-

One question: For the MVP, do you need instructors to be discoverable across multiple venues from day one, or is this launching with a single venue group first to prove the model before opening up the marketplace that materially changes how I'd structure the initial matching radius and onboarding flow.
-

Have you already mapped the complete user journey (wireframes or user flows) for both venues and instructors, or would you like the selected developer to help define the MVP architecture and feature prioritization before development begins?
