Web/App Designer

Hi! This is Steve here from Abacus. We are looking for a talented web designer to integrate successfully into our project team, with me acting as strategy director, plus our creative director, web developer and copywriter - to support the creation of a marketplace job app that will - in the first iteration - be built on a web platform, so we can go to market more quickly and cheaply to prove the concept pre summer before investing time and money in the app version later this year. If you have a knowledge of marketplace websites and/or apps (freelancing job ones in particular) either from a commercial or personal perspective, that would be very helpful. We want someone who lives and breathes user experience and customer journey to join our team - a knowledge of Figma or similar is of course essential. The commercial model will - by means of explanation - require similar functionality to People Per Hour, as it will (to begin with) provide a gigging marketplace for the security operative marketplace, especially for clients operating in the hospitality and events businesses, branching out into other sectors in future. Essential skills include being able to work as a team member, being positive, flexible, cooperative, professional, responsive, and available. I am ideally looking for a native English speaker based in the UK to help with communication and avoid time zone issues. Must be willing to engage with the team on Zoom with both audio and video as and when required. Work will probably begin later this month and continue through May, possibly into June. For me, personality and chemistry are so important. I like working with nice people who are passionate about what they do, and who are not afraid to stand their ground to defend their ideas.
