Redesign our Registration page to be GDPR compliant whilst improving conversion rates

We are redesigning our website (Healthservicediscounts.com). One of the most important pages is the registration page where potential new members arrive and hopefully sign up to our service.
We will need to make amendments to make it GDPR compliant and are concerned that this may damage conversion rates (these currently vary between 10 and 30% depending on the source of traffic) if we get it wrong. We are looking to work with someone over a period of time to design a new GDPR compliant registration page (pages) and then test various aspects of it to optimize conversion rates.
