Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I require a simple one page site designing for a client. A similar layout to http://expressautocentre.co.uk/ (his wish) but with some colours to more reflect the jewellery business, still with black background.
Single page at present with ability to expand to multipage site later (how this will be done must be part of the design).
The site is for a bespoke jeweller, he is a gold smith by trade and will repair jewellery, set diamonds into rings or restore old jewellery.
Contents will be:
Header using a style to work with his business card. The business card image is attached. It is a very basic one that he produced online but works for him.
A small amount of text describing the services (to be supplied)
Basic contact information
A contact form with fields for name, email, phone and short message. On submission this will get sent to an email address with an acknowledgement email to the enquirer.
A slide show of 3 or 4 images of his work, similar to the slide show on the expressauto site but only static images, not video. These will be supplied. Jquery preferred to Flash. Anything you create yourself that is compiled or compressed must be supplied in an source code editable form unless otherwise agreed.
Site is to be ethically search optimised as much as can be done with limited amount of text, so alt text, meta data etc all to be included.
HTML and CSS to pass w3c validation check. Site to work on IE6,7,8 and latest Chrome, Safari, FF.
The site has to be done and dusted by the end of November so initial work to be supplied in good time before then to allow time for corrections, but the sooner the better.
ftp access to high quality Linux/php based hosting will be provided. Domain name already sorted.
Although a very simple job, a high standard of work, good checking and good communication is required.
