Web Design Brief for www.komfort-zone.co.uk
Komfort Zone UK Ltd is a soft furnishings and design company, offering bespoke quality soft furnishings.
Our current website is in need of branding and our online shop needs major updating to become a fully functional, integrated shop.
BRANDING;
Komfort Zone needs some work on its look and branding to be able to target the market in which we would like to work. We are a mid-high end company, working with designers and private customers who require a very tailor made service. Currently we are not attracting the level of custom that we require and the site needs to reflect the work that we do, with images and information about our services. The look and flow of the site is important as it needs to be very user friendly and functional with a certain degree of sophistication appealing to the high end clients. This area is a blank canvass. Sites that are in keeping with the kind of design we are looking for are;
www.kensingtondesign.co.uk The look of this site is great and we really like the images and the way it flows.
www.jennyblancinteriors.com The images on this site are great!
www.violetmaylondon.com Also a very simple and stylish site, with a very strong brand.
We are open to ideas regarding the use of flash on the site etc. The sites we have suggested are simple in design and creative as well as aesthetic.
The various pages we would like to have will be a very visual Home page, an About us page, Projects/Gallery page, Commercial page (appealing to designers, etc), Shop area, and Contacts page. Please view our existing site for details of what we already have. Again, we are very open to help and input in this area especially to target the customers that we require.
SHOP FUNCTION;
The shop is the main and most important part of the site. Though I have not found an online shop that works directly in the way that we would like ours to, here are a few examples of shops that we like;
1. http://www.buyblinds.co.uk/
2. http://www.247blinds.co.uk/
3. http://www.blinds4uk.co.uk/
4. http://www.curtainmakersonline.com/
Site 4 has the functionality of the shop that would best suit our kind of business as it gives you various options that you can select in stages to produce the product that you want. This is the kind of service we want to offer our customers, using our own range of fabrics.
Please see the spread sheet which will give you a list of stages of how we wish the website to work.
The site needs to have a backend so we can update it in house with our images, stock and prices.
We require an estimation of price and cost for the above brief along with a time scale and details of what is required from us to be able to produce this site.
Thanks for your time.
