Num. of web pages: 4 (graphics on each page needs updating and branding icon needs creating which is compatible with phone.
Description of every page: Initial work to create graphics for website including designing a logo and icon
Product is a mass consumer product based on a mobile phone app for iPhone and Android. Target audience are all ages from teens to 50s and especially including teens who we see as our lead users to get the product off the ground. Graphics must convey the concepts of it being fun and exciting – the game aspect of competing for land grab must be prominent. Graphics should have a cartoon feel about them.
For teens the concept of privacy is not as important as it is for older people and press.
The first task is to get the website getting the look and feel of the new concepts. Currently this is built on a template but it IS a “responsive design” having 3 sets of graphics dependent on the width of the screen. For PCs, tablets and phones it automatically adjusts the content accordingly.
The Graphics design tasks will be divided into 2 stages. This initial stage 1 is as follows is to get the concepts and update the website (the 2nd later stage is to alter the graphics in the mobile app).
1) Create an icon for Product (no wording/lettering in it), for top left of screen to represent the symbol of the company. Bear in mind this icon needs to be similar in form to the eventual phone icon. Phone icons have some specific rules in design. The colours need to be flat and clean with high contrast (no gradients), shapes must be strong and clear so when viewed at 60x60 pixels all the shapes are clear – so detail is low purely symbolic.
2) The main pictures (currently photos of girls looking at phones) need replacing to a expansive graphics landscape (different for each page). The concept could (but don’t have to be) be based on the graphic below.... but we will be attracted by creativity, fun and innovative look.

If you use something like the above the popup icons are all incorrect. We will design a full set of icons for this at stage 2. Note also for each page there are 3 graphics of different width. In particular it must look good when viewed on a mobile phone.
3) The icons on page 2 (“how it works”) need replacing with relevant ones.
4) Finally we would like the phone icon to be produced. It needs to be square and the rules followed as described in item 1) above. We’d prefer to see the icon as a vector image but if this is not possible we’d need it as a PNG at 1024x1024 pixels, but note the shapes discernible at 60x60 or smaller.
