Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
Hi, everyone. Thanks for taking a look at this posting.
Design details: My company is currently in the process of designing a template for a one-page newsletter that we will send to people on our mailing list once a week. We designed the first draft of the template in Microsoft Word, and we are essentially looking for someone who could take our template and spruce it up a bit. Since no one on our staff is a professional designer, the template looks a bit dull and straightforward. We would love if you could format the template and add some kind of theme that would fit with our professional image.
We would like to keep the template in Microsoft Word for now. Our plan is to convert the final Word document to a PDF before sending it out to subscribers each week.
Target audience: Entrepreneurs and professionals
Messages to communicate through the design: We would like the design to be simple and professional. Since there will be quite a bit of information on the page, we would like the design to be engaging, captivating, and easy for the reader to navigate. (We are keeping this job private for now, so if we invited you to take a look at this job, then that means that we really liked your artistic style. Feel free to bring your own sense of style to this job!)
Ideas for the visual style: Nostalgic, classic, familiar, professional
Things to avoid: We would like the overall appearance to be conservative but still exciting.
***Extra notes: Attached you will find our logo (in case you would like to incorporate that into the design) as well as the current Microsoft Word template that we have developed. We have inserted sample text and tables into the template indicating the information that we would like to include in each section. Please feel free to edit the formatting wherever you would like by getting rid of tables or inserting new items, but we would still like each section to contain the information that is currently included in the template. In other words, we would like you to redesign how the information is presented to our readers.***
(This means that, for the "Events" section, we would still like there to be space for three events. Similarly, for the "Startups" section, we would like there to be space for three startups. Again, we would like there to be space for three news clips in the "Legal and Noteworthy" section, and we would like there to be space for a short article (~300 words) at the bottom of the template for our "In the News" section.)
Please let me know if I can provide any more information or clarification!
