Platform: WordPress.com (site + hosting + domain already in place)

Core purpose: Engage and inform local people, planners, and political stakeholders about a proposed development. Encourage objections and community participation.

• Must be clean, clear, easy to read

• Fast-loading, accessible design suitable for mobile and older users

- Contact - including subscribe (Email signup to community list)

• Draft text content provided in wireframes PPTX along with photos
• All photo images supplied separately
• You must lay out pages cleanly using WordPress Blocks
• No walls of text. Use icons, bullets, section dividers to improve readability.

SEO + performance requirements
• Keyword optimisation for key terms
• Title + Meta description for every page
• Image compression and alt-text
• Clean URL slugs
• XML sitemap enabled
• Fast load-time on 4G mobile

Accessibility
• WCAG AA aligned
• Font size minimum 17–18px body
• Clear colour contrast
• Click-to-call phone links
• All buttons clear and descriptive

Newsletter + contact
• Contact form routing to agreed email

    Ben, to make sure the site truly resonates with your community, could you tell me what single feeling or reaction you want every visitor to have after visiting the homepage, is it urgency, hope, empowerment, or something else?

    Should we use Mailchimp or WordPress.com’s native subscriber list for the “Join the Campaign” sign-ups?
    Should the tone be calm and factual, or more urgent and activist?
    For “Latest News,” do you want a blog-style feed you can post to, or manual page updates?
    When someone subscribes, should we collect email only, or also name + postcode?
    And would you like me to select a fast, clean block theme similar to StopLimeDown, or will you choose one first?

    Once I have these, I’ll begin building your first pages.
