Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
A respected online retailer is looking to recruit someone to help make the experience even better… this is a job that will start immediately and most likely run during the next 4 weeks (please do not apply after 2nd Sept - you will be too late).
We are relaunching our ecommerce site using a new platform and we help with making the customer facing side look clean, attractive and work efficiently (to maximise sales).
The team behind the store are full of ideas, they just lack the design talent to make it happen.
The ideal candidate for this job would have an eye for design, be able to make use of graphics packages and be well versed in HTML and CSS. A very good grasp of English is also essential, as is excellent communications skills.
The tasks involved in this could be as simple as changing a couple of colours , doing a small bit of design or building CSS to fit in with the layouts for complex tab displays and other things. There could also be a need to create some background graphics so that elements do not look flat.
As an example of the sort of things that we need, please take a look at www.notonthehighstreet.com. You would need to have the ability to replicate the style of the tabbed sections (headed 'we love, 40 favourites' etc )about half way down the page. (PLEASE NOTE: this is just an example to show the sort of skills that we are looking for... this is not necessarily something that we need you to do exactly).
You will be working closely with the Managing Director and the Head Developer to ensure that the project is delivered successfully and on time.
Please start your application 'Dear Mr Benn' to ensure that we know you have read this job spec. Applications which do not do this will be treated as spam.
Please also ensure that you application contains relevant examples of your work
Thanks
