Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
I need someone to finalise the design of Divi website homepages.
Almost all websites we create are for local UK businesses. The websites have already been built with all content added and layouts done, I simply require someone with an excellent eye for detail and what looks good to "polish" the homepage so that it is up to the right standard before being shown to the client. It needs to:
- Have real visual impact
- Appear highly professional
- Be well branded to the target market
I am looking for someone long-term who knows their way around Wordpress but has a good eye for what looks good, modern and has visual impact - I don't need a back-end coding expert. All changes can be done with point & click Divi customisation and basic Photoshop skills. No custom CSS or coding is permitted on any of the sites.
You are required to refresh the homepage which typically requires the following:
1 - Better selection of images (shutterstock available), in particular the main slider image, so that the homepage has instant impact and look realistic for the business in question.
2 - Adjusting colours if needed so that they look more modern and match correctly - often this involves toning down brighter, more harsh colours in the logo and then matching with the website colour scheme. Done quickly and easily using Divi customisation.
3 - Adjusting and modernising the logo and header layout so it fits better with the site. Remove dated design features such as shading & shadows on logos or adjusting the colour if required.
4 - Adjust fonts so they look better, ideally match the logo and are more modern and have more impact
5 - Ensuring the relevant USPs and CTAs are prominent and look modern and correctly branded
6 - Carry out minor layout adjustments to ensure the page looks symmetrical - eg columns/rows are the same height etc
7 - Adjust header text on the main slider so that they read better and have more impact
I normally do this work myself and it takes me about 2 or 3 hours per website with much of that time just testing and adjusting colour and layout or looking for the right images in Shutterstock or sourcing them from elsewhere.
This is a fixed price of £75 per website - I would not expect the work to take longer than 3 hours.
I currently have 5 websites which require the same work doing on them - I will give you x1 as a first trial but I need someone to work with on an ongoing basis to do this same kind of work on between 1 and 4 websites per week. I give clear and easy to follow instructions being a web designer myself and having done hundreds of Divi websites in the past.
You must:
1 - Have a great eye for design and especially image choice (Shutterstock etc) which works for the UK market
2 - Understand the image and brand that the business wants to put across
3 - Be able to produce quality work in a timely fashion
4 - Be an excellent communicator and respond promptly via email or skype
5 - Be able to complete a task like this within 48-72 hours max
6 - Ensure all images used are SEO optimised, have relevant image names, titles and alt tags
7 - Want long term, ongoing work
You are not required to:
1 - Write any code or customise CSS. All changes can be done using Photoshop and Divi point and click customisation.
2 - Edit the actual theme, wordpress or plugins
3 - Carry out wholesale changes to the layout
4 - Work on any other pages other than the homepage
Only independent freelancers need apply - no agencies.
Due to time-zones only European-based freelancers will be considered.
I am looking for someone long-term to work with doing this kind of work on 6-12 websites per month.
Stock images can come from our own library and Shutterstock account.
Please provide a list of at least 8 x websites you have designed or branded yourself.
Any questions please ask.
