Description
Experience Level: Entry
I am currently working for a small enterprise which sells courses to polictians and delegates from all over the world.
The enterprise has a number of domain-based (single) web pages. All are based on a common template (written in Bootstrap 3) with a single CSS page to assist styling and an overhead dropdown menu system designed to be resposive to mobile phones and tablets.
An example of a course can be seen here:
http://www.parlcommittees.parlicentre.org/
If you view the source you will see that the site gets its pages via a call to
an external API on another site. This makes for a rather "clean" bit of code that basically is nothing more than a html layout and style sheet.
The pages are, however, looking extremely dated and rather boring. When viewing the pages on some screen sizes, particularly tablets, the pages do not appear optimally, with the larger image appearing 'offset' and the logo scaling to strange sizes.
This project is to:
a) rewrite this one-page site in Bootstrap 4 CSS
b) use web design skills to create a nicer-looking front end and drop-down menu system at the top of the page
c) retain the logo and image complementing the course
d) retain the entirety of the information and links appearing on the page itself
A competent web designer should see that there is actually a very, very small amount of work here. There may well be an open-source Bootstrap 4 template that will suit the purpose extremely well with only the tiniest of modifications.
However, the business would like:
a) the colour scheme to be retained
b) the site to scale 'correctly' when viewed on all devices
I believe this work could be completed in about six hours. I would be happy to receive proposals for this work.
