Squarespace UX Designer – existing website improvements, user journey + SEO

Budget: up to £300

I’m looking for an experienced Squarespace designer with a strong understanding of UX and SEO to help improve my existing website:

This is not a website rebuild or rebrand. I want to improve what is already there.

Better Endings works in the areas of end of life, dying, grief and dementia, with services for individuals and families as well as workplaces and organisations.

I’m looking for someone who can bring a fresh, expert eye to the site and help me identify and make a relatively small number of changes that will have the biggest impact.

In particular, I’d like help with:

the homepage and whether visitors quickly understand what Better Endings does
the user journey for our different audiences
navigation and calls to action
visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, imagery and consistency
mobile experience
SEO , particularly page structure, headings, content hierarchy, internal linking, metadata and search intent

I am not looking for a standalone SEO audit. I want SEO awareness built into the UX and design decisions we make.

How I'd like to work

I’d prefer this to be collaborative rather than simply handing the site over.

Ideally, we would start with a live Zoom/Google Meet session where we look through the site together and you talk me through what you see, what isn't working and what you would prioritise.

I'd then like us to use the remaining time/budget making the most useful changes. I'm comfortable making some changes myself if that is the best use of the budget.

My total budget is up to £300, so please be realistic about what you think we can achieve within that.

I'm interested in thoughtful, targeted improvements rather than being sold a larger redesign project.

5. Briefly, how do you incorporate SEO when making UX, content and design changes to an existing Squarespace site?

Please don't send a generic proposal for a complete website redesign. I'm specifically looking for someone who has looked at Better Endings and can see opportunities to make the existing site work better.
