(Sorry reposted as needed fixed price).
I am looking for someone to build a custom search/filter function for a Wordpress site we have built.
The function needs to allow the user to filter through all products added to the 'Products' custom post type.
Each 'Product' post has 11 custom fields attached to it:
ID
Date
Make
Model
Code
Weight
Pt
Pd
Rh
Gross Value
Grade
We need a function that allows users to filter a list of products using any of the meta fields above. We're looking for something similar to the way you can filter products on the following website: http://www.asos.com/Men/Accessories/Cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=4210 (although not as complicated).
We envisage the filtering to be done via a set of drop down menus which automatically update the search results depending on what options are selected.
ie.
ID -> Options
ALL ID's
ID 1
ID 2
ID 3...
DATE -> Options
ALL Dates
DATE 1
DATE 2
DATE 3...
etc...
Each listing in the search result will display the product image, title, make and model fields.
The options for each field will need to be populated by grabbing a list of all values entered in that particular meta field.
ie. If the admin user adds a new product called 'PRODUCT 1' then adds new values for each of the 11 custom fields, then these need to be pulled in automatically and added to the corresponding list of options in each of the drop down filters.
We also need a search field on the site that will allow users to carry out a keyword search querying all the custom field value for the Products post type.
In summary, we need someone to:
1. Write the function that will allow the product filtering
2. Supply the code for the paginated search results page with filters & search box that we will style.
