Business Networking Community Website

THE COMPANY/ORGANISATION OVERVIEW

The Global Clinical Research Opportunities Group, GCRO for short is a membership community for professionals working in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Biotechnology industries.

The purpose of the GCRO is to facilitate business networking and provide a place where discussions can be had without outside irrelevant input (sales messages, Viagra pills, recruitment consultants etc) the group also exists to centralise news, press releases, events and career opportunities from direct industry companies/employers (non agency), the community currently has 4,000 + memberships across the globe and is growing by roughly 100+ professionals per month.

WEBSITE DESIGN & BUILD

The community currently operates on a smaller scale with free memberships, reduced functionality and benefits, the need to build a site for this is now apparent.

I will require a full site design with logo; I would favour people with both technical and copywriting experience, the designer must be based in the UK.

The site should consist of,

1) A home page (with some advertising space)

2) A Members Area (login/password required), inside the members area will be the main functionality which will consist of a message board/forum, a job opportunities board and several other functions that I can talk to any potential bidder about, the members functionality will also be the main area for future development.

3) New Members Sign Up - a page listing benefits, statistics, a sign up form and a payment function (PayPal or similar)

4) A special events / members general advertising page (press releases, charity functions or what have you)

5) Contact us page

6) Site map/Data protection, Privacy policy etc.

The site will need to be social/business media compatible

Additional Information

Whilst this site will have the potential to more than pay for itself the initial outlay needs to be managed accordingly to reduce financial risk, you are bidding on the initial set-up of what will be a very popular, niche industry website as well as the opportunity to be a long term technical developer for this project.

I am aware that you may well require additional information; I will be available on Thursday/Friday 27th/28th October as well as w/c 31st October; I want to agree on a designer by the end of business on the 31st October if possible with a view to starting the project immediately and finishing it by the end of November 2011
