Description
Experience Level: Expert
Information for the business: I'm just a young guy that knits things for special people in my life :)
Industry: Art and Design
Details about the apparel: a timeless grandfather cardigan-type 3/4 length overcoat
Content to include on the apparel: nothing, will be simple one color. I'll add stuff after the fact.
Ideas for the visual style:
Extra notes: I want to make this garment for myself first (I will be making the second one for a friend but I want to iron out mistakes on first one before I do the one for a friend, I'm only an "intermediate level" knitter right now, I can sort of design (basic level) but would rather outsource this to someone that knows the ins and outs).
I want it to feel lacey and flowing. The type of garment you throw on first thing in when you get out of bed, but also versatile enough to wear out. Too much knitted stuff feels tight to me, in terms of gauge, like the type of stuff grandma would make. I want it to feel more like a blanket than a traditional cardigan.
I'm 6"2.5, 210lbs. Athletic build, I wear a lot of Zara type clothing. Long torso. I used to be skinnier and modeled, so think like I'm 6"2 with a model build but I put on some beef because I didn't want to be skinny anymore/
Some measurements of myself: 34 waist, 44 chest, 16 chest
Of the three attachments, the one with the female model is closest to what I want. I think I want it just above the knee though. I'd like to do a knitted belt/rope with grandfather pockets below.
Ask me questions if u have any! If need be, I am all for Skype sessions to nail down details for the right person. Thank you!
