Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Hi All,
I have a very simple flow/ infographic design I'd like put together, but have a submission deadline of 1pm tomorrow afternoon UK time. It's nowhere near the level of complexity of your other designs.
On that basis do you think you can get a first attempt complete this afternoon?
The brief:
SECTION 1: OPERATIONS (Would be sat beneath this heading)
*Please see the attached drawing. I have drawn it, fairly badly and had written some copy. I've then typed up a shortened version of all the words and typed them below and included what my drawing/ icon is of.
I've also attached an image of our equipment so you can see what the control box looks like for help choosing the best example icon for it.
For context, our website is www.poapower.co.ke
(Coincidentally we are redesigning our logo at the moment - so don't judge! :)
Business Model Copy & Icons:
Main Copy (Relates to first drawing, and those on the immediate circular diagram.
1. COPY: Customers pay a small upfront fee of $5. The PoaPower solar panels and Home Power Station (HPS) are installed.
SUGGESTED ICON: Customer icon + $5 note
2. COPY: The Control Box and Power Pack store energy
SUGGESTED ICON: Power pack icon
3. COPY: The customer purchases Energy Credits with mobile money, unlocking the HPS
SUGGESTED ICON: Mobile phone + £0.10 note
4. COPY: Lighting and the charging of appliances are activated. Customers only pay for the energy they consume
SUGGESTED ICON: Light bulb turned on OR electricity bolt for ‘power’
5. COPY: Friendly SMS reminders ensure the lights stay on
SUGGESTED ICON: Dollar sign with a plus OR dollar sign with an up arrow (to indicate top-up payments)
Supporting Copy (Relates to supporting information – could be included in a separate box, or com-ing off of the main circular diagram as per the drawing):
1. COPY: The customer never owns the HPS. Instead trained customer service and installation teams are on hand for any issues.
SUGGESTED ICON: Multiple team member icons
2. COPY: Proprietary software and business intelligence
SUGGESTED ICON: Laptop to indicate software, possibly with ‘CRM’ written on the screen
SECTION 2: Impact (Sat beneath this output)
The drawing above is the main bulk of the chart and should take up about 2/3rds of the diagram. The process identified in that drawing however, then leads to a series of resulting impacts, which should just be sat under the heading 'Impact' and appear with the following written copy:
Financial:
Poverty reduction (annual consumer savings)
Social:
Improved energy access
Livelihoods supported
Increased education and productivity
Taxes/duties paid to the government
Environmental:
CO2 emissions reductions
Reduced batteries discarded into the environment
DELIVERABLES:
- If possible this will be created in PowerPoint so it can be easily edited in the future
Thanks,
Dan
