Description
Experience Level: Expert
An FPGA device – possibly as simple as a Spartan-3A 144 pins, or its equivalent – is required to:
· generate an arbitrary waveform V=sin(x)+0.3*(sin(2x)+sin(3x)+…+sin(10x)+sin(11x))
· produce a corresponding 8 bit digital output
· linearly sweep the fundamental sine wave from 400 kHz to 20 kHz over a period of 18 minutes.
Upon receipt, the coding will be forwarded to www.burntec.com to program two devices. One will be mounted on a PCB for testing by a TI TLC7524CD DAC; the other is a spare.
Upon receipt of the coding half the escrow fund will be released. Upon completion of satisfactory testing the remainder will be released.
The coding shall be released no later than 15 working days (3 weeks) after the start of the project.
