Description
Experience Level: Expert
We have an existing product (batch of 200 hand made) that we need to make some changes to before ramping up production. The product is an accelerometer with an LED display and audio feedback; and currently powered with a USB lead. The unit has a PIC30F4013 micro controller at it's heart and the firmware was written in MPLABx. The PCB was designed with 'Altium'.
We would like to add an onboard battery and would like help with the following: Sourcing a suitable and readily available battery, providing some on board charge and discharge management (using MCP73833/4 or similar?), and an on off switch (either mechanical or put chip to sleep? - currently just unplug the lead).
To begin with I need some budget costs so I can get the project rolling. I am more interested in finding someone I can communicate and work well with than finding the lowest possible quote. Some experience of working with Lithium batteries and an understanding of the safety issues would be an advantage. Please do not hesitate with any questions.
