Description
Experience Level: Expert
Design details: Dear Electronics Engineer,
Sorry if this sounds a little vague, at this point I’m working up costs for a prototype idea. The brief being that the design needs to be based around mass production components with power from AA battery or similar. Therefore, low power consumption is what I’m looking for.
The concept of what I would like to have designed is:
A button much like one you would see on a fruit machine.
This part will be designed and produced around the electronics sizes inside. This is something I will do in house because I’m a freelance CAD draughtsman.
The underside of the button will have an on/off slide and maybe another smaller button that would be pressed to pair with devices.
When paired with a mobile phone or multiple mobile phones the main button will ping my app (Currently in design). The main top button will have just one operation and that is to ping the paired mobile phone. When pressed the button will illuminate an internal LED that stays illuminated for a set time of approx. 5-10 seconds. The main button needs to be long lasting and work like a fruit machine button where hitting it hard does not damage the switch inside. Every button must have a different signal so that my app will know which button has been pressed when multiples of the button have been paired to one phone.
Please feel free to give me a call if you would like to run through any of the above.
Kindest Regards
Paul Lyons
