Description
Experience Level: Entry
I have a Ruby on Rails web application under development. I am looking for a talented UX designer to work alongside the developer on this project to implement an awesome, accessible, cross-browser interface.
The successful applicant will have experience with Ruby on Rails 3.1 (and thus the asset pipeline) - you don't need to be an expert or a developer, you just need to know how Rails works so that you can navigate the application's structure.
I'm happy to listen to the successful applicant's suggestions on how to approach this design, but it will likely use a framework like Twitter Bootstrap in order to get the job done quickly and efficiently.
I'm really looking for good designers - I already have a developer on this project, so i'm not too worried about your coding skills, but you will, of course, need to be able to write good, clean css.
There will be quite a bit of work initially to move the whole app away from its current templated design to the new design; after this initial period the work will slow slightly, but be quite consistent - once the developer implements a feature, it will need to be skinned.
When you are applying, please give some examples of designs you have created, though no more than 3 please. Obviously recycled cover letters will result in the application being immediately rejected (so please don't send me something telling about your prowess with Joomla/Wordpress/.net or anything else unrelated to this design task).
