Description
Experience Level: Expert
WHAT I NEED
- A custom-lettered logo for the word ZERO (4 letters), drawn from scratch. No pre-existing fonts.
- Deliverables: vector files (AI/SVG/PDF), white-on-black version, black-on-white version, monochrome version, and a small-scale version that remains legible at approx. 15mm wide.
BRAND STYLE
- Dark, irreverent horror aesthetic, targeting an audience aged 18–35 (gamers, horror movie fans, rock/metal fans, athletes). Think vampire movie poster title, not haunted house.
- Heavy, robust, and angular typography, featuring sharp beveled cuts and diagonal blade- or knife-like terminals. Tight spacing. Must be readable from a distance of 2–3 meters on the can.
STYLE REFERENCES (mood/vibe only; images attached)
- Lettering from the "Let The Right One In" poster: weight, sharp-cut corners, compact rhythm.
- The general look of the font "Vampire Wars" by Darrell Flood: angular, heavy, blade-like R. Use it for direction only; do not trace or reuse its letterforms.
- The sharpness found in heavy metal band logos.
- I need a unique, original logo that is eligible for trademark registration.
DESIGN REQUIREMENTS
- A consistent "cut style" across all four letters, incorporating a distinctive blade- or knife-like element (e.g., a diagonal tail on the R) that can stand alone as a graphic element.
- The letter "O" should relate to the tombstone-shaped "0" I use beneath the logo (I will send it), yet it must remain clearly legible as the letter "O."
- It must work well at small sizes: no excessively fine lines or tiny details.
- Avoid: Gothic or blackletter fonts, dripping blood effects, standard skulls or fangs, parallel claw marks, gradients, and special effects.
OWNERSHIP
- Full transfer of copyright and commercial usage rights; source files included.
- Original work created by a person; no AI-generated images, stock fonts, or third-party assets. Please confirm this in writing.
PROCESS
- Please submit 2 or 3 black-and-white sketches first, then refine one of them. Include 2 or 3 rounds of revisions.
- Before starting, please confirm: do you draw the letters from scratch and transfer full copyright ownership?

What’s the one distinctive quality you want people to remember about ZERO after seeing it once the blade-like lettering, the horror attitude, or something more unique to the brand?
