Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
I'm Adam and I run Boothco. We started in 2020 as a photo booth company doing weddings and private parties. Today 99% of our work is with some of the biggest companies in the world: Nike, Amazon, Adidas, UEFA, Gymshark and Google. We make fun things for their events: AI photo booths, AI trading cards, a robot that draws people, GIF pods and 360 video booths.
The business has changed a lot in six years, but our brand has not kept up. The first step is a new logo.
WHAT THIS PROJECT IS
This project is the first round only: a set of logo ideas for £250. I will hire a few designers for this round, each as a separate £250 project, so more than one person will be working on it at the same time. Deadline for first round ideas: Wednesday 14 October.
After the deadline I will choose the logo or logos I want to develop. Each designer whose logo is chosen gets a second project for £500 to finish it: the second round, the changes and the final files. If your logo is not chosen, you keep the £250 and we part as friends. If no logo is chosen, only the £250 is paid.
The final logo must be full vector files. Once the £500 is paid, the logo and all its files belong to Boothco. We can use it anywhere, for ever, with no extra fees and no conditions. Logos we do not choose stay with you.
WHAT COMES AFTER
This is not a one-off logo job. We are doing a full rebrand of the business and we want a long-term design partner, or partners, for all of it. The work after the logo is:
Full professional brand guidelines: colours, fonts, imagery, tone of voice, how the logo is used, everything you would expect in a proper guidelines document.
The look and feel of everything we make.
The new website: design and wireframes for every page.
Brochures, sales decks and print.
Social media: templates, profile branding and assets for every channel.
Brand assets for our kit: booth wraps, t-shirts, flight cases, vans and anything else we put the logo on.
The designer or designers who do the best logo will be offered this work, with prices agreed for each part. So it is worth putting real effort into the first round. The logo is the test, and the prize is a big project with a client who wants to keep working with you for years. I will also be looking at how quickly you reply and how professional your work is.
WHAT WE WANT
Clean, modern and bold. Sharp shapes, not soft round shapes. Strong and heavy, not thin.
It does not need to show what we do or mean anything. No camera, no photo booth. It just needs to look great.
The name is Boothco. One word. Capital B, small letters after.
It has to look good next to the Nike, Amazon and Adidas logos.
We often use magenta, cyan and yellow with black. You can use them but you do not have to.
Show every logo on a white background first, then on black.
Attached to this post are examples of logos we like, plus some designs I made myself using AI tools. The idea behind mine was the CMYK colours, because those are the colours we print in, and something bold that stands out. I think it is a nice starting point, but I am not a designer and I am happy to throw it all away. Once I accept your proposal I will share a full reference board with more examples.
HOW TO APPLY
In your proposal, write two or three sentences in your own words saying what you think we want. Proposals without this will not be considered. That one thing tells me you have read the brief and we understand each other before you draw anything.
First round: send as many ideas as you like. Keep them simple, on white and on black, by Wednesday 14 October. Second round, if your logo is chosen: horizontal, stacked and icon versions, black only and white only, shown very small, and shown on a t-shirt, a flight case and a photo print next to a client logo.
If anything is not clear, ask in the WorkStream before you start.

What’s the one thing you want the new Boothco logo to communicate that the current brand no longer does?
-

✅ Would you like the first-round concepts to explore typography-only marks as well as abstract symbols?
✅ Can you share the full reference board once the project starts?
✅ For the CMYK direction, should I treat those colors as inspiration or as a core brand requirement?
