Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Information for the business: Cornish-themed coffeeshop, also selling Cornish art & gifts
Industry: Food and Beverage
Type of logo: Emblem
Brand name/slogan in logo: Smugglers
Ideas for the visual style: Incorporating the coffee/tea and art/Cornish sides. Possibly something like a coffee cup or teapot with a wave coming out of it, or steam rising up from it in the shape of a wave, or in the shape of the S of Smugglers. Or a 'wave-like' S. Or a VW van or surf board or something along those lines, with art/coffee somehow incorporated into it. Or some other combination of food/drink, art & the sea!
Preferred colors: Probably blues, possibly two shades of blue, or light grey-blue with another contrasting colour. Slightly vintage/faded shades.
Where the design will be used: Shop front, business cards, coffee cups, bags, packaging of retail products, gift sets, possibly printed onto t-shirts, teapots etc.
Extra notes: This is a new café-gallery, but I would like to create a logo that can be a real brand, and can last and be used if I expand, e.g. printing it onto my own products, such as crockery, tea towels, t-shirts, and can sit alongside slogans. I would like it to be attractive/cool enough that someone would want to have it on their teapot or mug, or wear it on their t-shirt. A slightly vintage British look to it would be good, maybe using colours like faded pale blue and red or cream, rather than harsh shades. But not more than 2 colours, and not too complicated, so that it can easily be used for paper cups etc.
