Logo for new classic car business

We are launching a new classic car business and need a vintage style but edgy logo/brand created. The logo should be an emblem style whereby the company name is the focus of the logo which is 'Maverick Motors'.

We would like the logo to draw emphasis from the some of the old racing car brands and designs and the old petrol and oil brands like Castrol. The 'Maverick' font should be a form of vintage style handwriting. I quite like the fonts used by Omega for their 'Seamaster' brand aoong with the font for 'Aerodrome' by Aspinal. Very open to new ideas though!!!

The logo should have classic/vintage feel but still have a cool/sophisticated edge to it.
