Description
Experience Level: Expert
I’m looking for an experienced logo designer to create a calm, professional, and trustworthy logo for a parent-focused education brand.
The brand supports learning in the early years and primary phase, helping parents feel confident about supporting their child’s learning. Resources are also used by teachers and schools, but parents are the primary audience.
This project is about clarity, reassurance, and guidance; not decoration or trend-driven design.
About the Brand (Context)
The brand exists to:
• Support early years and primary learning
• Reduce parent anxiety around education
• Provide clear, expert-led guidance
• Help adults understand what matters in learning and why
The brand should feel:
• Calm and reassuring
• Trustworthy and professional
• Warm but not childish
• Clear rather than noisy
This is not:
• A tutoring service
• A children’s app
• An entertainment or playful brand
It is a trusted guide for adults supporting children’s learning.
Strapline (for context only)
“Guiding parents to empower younger learners”
This reflects the brand’s current positioning and tone. It is provided for context rather than as a requirement to be incorporated into the logo.
The strapline is intended to sit below the logo as a secondary line, rather than being integrated into the logo mark itself. This is guidance on hierarchy, not a fixed layout requirement.
Design Direction
We are deliberately not prescribing symbols, metaphors, or visual ideas.
We are looking for:
• Thoughtful interpretation of brand values
• Clean, restrained design
• Timeless rather than trendy concepts
The logo should:
• Work well as a wordmark or simple mark
• Be effective in a single colour
• Scale across website, PDFs, reports, email headers, and print
We do not want designs which are:
• Childish or cartoon-like
• Overly playful or bright
• Ed-tech or app-style
• Corporate or institutional
• Busy, decorative, or gimmicky
Deliverables:
• Primary logo
• Single-colour version
• Web and print-ready files (SVG / PNG / PDF)
Portfolio Requirement
Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
Please include a link to your portfolio or relevant logo / branding examples with your proposal.
Experience with education, publishing, healthcare, or other trust-led brands is highly desirable.
Budget & Timeline
Open to proposals based on experience.
Quality and thoughtful brand thinking are prioritised over speed.
Thoughtful, well-considered proposals are welcome.
