Logo design for Soleado.es

I'm looking for a log for my new website, I'm based in Spain and the theme is sun, spain and the sea. I'm thinking that the logo will combine or use the following elements:

An old fashioned ships steering wheel where the protruding handles are fashioned like the suns rays, all in yellow
Inside the wheel replacing the spokes will be the site name: soleado.es
Underneath there will be a wave pattern which if possible would incorporate the colours of the spanish flag:
horizontally striped red-yellow-red national flag without the coat of arms.
Although I've talked about colours I like the idea of it being just a line drawing style, so maybe just some accent colours of the spanish flag at the bottom without the suns rays being coloured?
