Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Hi there,
I'm currently going through a rebranding exercise for my company.
I have narrowed it down to two company names and now I'd like some logo designs for each to help me decide which to go for.
(I'd like a strong, memorable brand identity so happy for a strong logo to make the decision for me).
THE JOB
Is for at least 3 design concepts for each company name, progressing to a finished final logo from whichever I pick.
I'd need a full logo pack delivered of the finished article (Editable vector format ai file or similar)
THE BRIEF
Having looked through a number of hourlies on PPH, here are some answers to some of the common questions designers seem to be asking in terms of brief:
Industry:
Media - We are an Artist Management company who represent actors and comedians
Company Names:
Buffalo Artist Management
Momentum Artist Management
Colours:
I have no fixed opinions on colours, other than I'd like them to be contemporary/not too primary. It's a media company, so colour/fun is no bad thing. Too dry/bland/corporate probably is.
However... :-)
It'd also be really useful if the logo could be reversed out or crisp enough to work in white/or on a busy background. (It'll need to appear on flyers which often have photographic backgrounds and not get 'lost').
Pictorial/Typographic or Both?
I'd like a strong logo, which when brand awareness is up will be recognisable without any words. Initially though I'd like that logo to be accompanied by complimentary typographics (main line being the name of the company, secondary line being 'Artist Management').
Logo styles I like:
Contemporary, clean, crisp, eye-catching. I've attached some examples that caught my eye from around the PPH community but don't let them limit your ideas - none are spot on - the key, as I say is the potential for iconic 'at a glance' brand recognition.
HOW TO APPLY
I'm keen not to waste the time of anyone whose style doesn't suit my tastes, so I'd like some initial concepts (can be sketches, rough mock-ups) before I decide on who to give the work to.
That's not me trying to get something for nothing, rather I know how annoying the concept of 'unlimited' revisions can be (I've done a fair bit of web design in the past and clients persistently 'tweaking' can be incredibly frustrating) - If you can demonstrate that you've got some great ideas that are pretty much in the ball-park of being right, we should be able to progress to a finished job pretty quickly and painlessly, which'd be great all round.
START DATE/DEADLINE
It's to start as soon as possible and I'd love us to work towards having a finished article within a week (by 28th August).
Hope that helps, if you have any other questions, please do ask.
Many thanks,
Zoe
